An RMA (Return Material Authorization) number is always required to return any items to the factory. This can be obtained by calling the factory as long as the material in question falls within the following guidelines:
Orders entered in error by Strahman will be corrected without restocking fees. Note: An RMA must still be issued and is subject to the terms of this procedure. Strahman Valves, Inc. is not responsible for any discrepancies not reported within 10 days of receipt of goods. After this period Strahman reserves the right to impose restocking fees.
All Warranty & Repair returns must follow the RMA procedure set forth in this notice and include a material safety data sheet (MSDS) with the goods or received prior to receipt of the return.
All other errors are subject to management review and response.
All return shipping expenses are paid by the customer. Items must be returned within 30 days of receiving the RMA number. If you receive merchandise as a result of a Strahman Valves Inc. error, we will pay for the return shipping expense.
All returned goods should be sent back insured and packaged to prevent damage in transit. Goods damaged in transit can cause additional restocking fees regardless of reason for return.
Strahman Valves, Inc. reserves the right to inspect all returned merchandise and issue final determination as to its condition.
RMAs are not available for custom goods.
Contracted Distributors may not return current price list items.
Unauthorized returns will be refused.
Failure to obtain an RMA number prior to sending any item to the factory, or failing to identify it properly, will result in the material being refused and returned at the senders expense regardless of the reason for return. Additionally, this will relieve Strahman Valves, Inc. of any responsibility as to the whereabouts and dispositions of such items. You will receive an RMA number within 2 working days of your request. The RMA number is only an authorization for returning a product; it is not an approval for repair or replacement.
1. Please follow these simple steps when preparing to return material to the factory for evaluation. Notify the factory that you want to return parts for examination. Have the following information available:
Customer or end user location.
Applicable purchase order number(s) for part(s).
A description of the reason for return.
An RMA number will then be issued within two days, RMA numbers will be valid for 30 (thirty) days from date issued. No material will be accepted for consideration without a valid RMA number. Once an RMA has been issued for a specific order it will not be re-instated.
2. The item to be returned to the factory MUST have its RMA number marked clearly on the outside of the shipping package. Authorized returns require the RMA number to be printed in tall red lettering on two different sides of the package.
3. The item itself must be tagged, or in some way clearly identified with the assigned RMA number. As noted above, failure to do so will result in delay in the proper processing of your material.
No RMA will be issued for USED products, unless for repair, or for any materials 90 days after shipment.
Do not request an RMA if the product can not be returned inside of 30 days. Authorized returns received after 30 days will be refused and sent back at senders expense regardless of the reason for return.
